When There's a Will There's a Way

Until There Are None In Need, We Will Be Their Voice

Available Dogs

These are some of the dogs we have available for adoption. Adoption fees for most dogs is $85.00 Extra large breeds (100 pounds and over) such as, but not limited to Great Danes, Irish Woldhounds, Saint Bernards, Newfoundlands or mixes there of are $125.00 due to the increased cost of care. Puppies who have not yet been altered due to age are $185.00 with $100.00 being refunded upon proof of surgery. Dogs that have been altered before coming to us are $45.00. Since foster homes do cover the medical expenses of the dogs, they may ask for a bit more or less depending on certain circumstances.

Adoption fees cover the basic costs of vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries. The foster homes incur any other medical and feeding costs. No profit is made from any adoptions.

Charlie

Charlie was abandoned and found his way to us. He is an adorable little guy, but is a bit shy with people. He loves, loves, loves to play with other dogs and is not afraid to charge and play with Emily's Great Danes! We are not sure what he is mixed with, but we suspect he is an Austrailian Shepherd/Golden Retriever/Mutt mix. To sum it up, he is an Alabama dog! A good 'old Heinz 57 with lots of love to give.

Charlie is around 7 or 8 months old now, and is wondering why he hasn't found his perfect home. He is neutered, house broken, crate trained, up to date on necessary shots and deworming, heartworm negative and on prevention. He's a great boy and would be the perfect addition to any family.

Shelley

Shelley is a 3 year old female Rat Terrier mix. She was abandoned at the vet clinic after being hit by a car. The owners couldn't afford treatment, so they left her there. Her pelvis was fractured, but with some crate rest, she's been doing just fine. She may always have a bit of a gimp, but is other wise doing well. Shelley is 15-20 pounds, but it wouldn't hurt her to lose a little weight and stay on the slim side due to her injury.

Shelley is crate trained and house broken as far as we know. She is possessive of her crate, though, and doesn't like other dogs to come near it. She is fine with people, though. She is a total love and likes to be loved on and in your lap.

Shelley will be adopted only as an indoor dog and a fenced yard is a requirement. Due to her breed, and previous injury, Shelley will not be adopted into a home with children younger than 12 years of age. She would probably do best as an only dog. Shelley's adoption fee is $85.00. She will be spayed before placement.

Dach

Dach is once again avaliable for adoption. He didn't work out with his adoptive family-which was not their fault, they were a great family. Dach just needs a home with no kids.

Dach was definitely not socialized properly before he came to us the first time, and was possibly even abused. As a result, he is a bit nervous and when in his new home, he snapped at some children-more than once in fact. He did make contact, but did not break the skin.

Normally, we would not even consider adopting a dog that has displayed this behavior, but we believe Dach will do ok in a special home. Since Dach has been back with us, he has not shown any kind of aggression.

Dach would do best in a home with a single lady. Absolutely no children! He needs a securely fenced yard as well. Dach should be crated when left alone.

He is a nervous guy at times, but is a total love. He loves to crawl up in your lap and just be loved on. He does well in the car and does well with most other dogs. He is neutered and up to date on necessary shots. Dach is heartworm negative and on prevention. He is housebroken and crate trained.

Dach is around 1.5 and 2 years old. He is 20-25 pounds and has a wiry coat. Dach must meet \b{every} member of the family before we consider adoption. Dach will absolutely not be shipped-adopters must meet Dach in person because of his issues. If we feel Dach is not comfortable at any time, the adoption will be refused.
