Welcome to our website! When There's a Will There's a Way rescue is a small group of foster homes that is dedicated to finding the perfect home for their needy animals. We rescue animals from shelters and a couple local vets. Our foster parents have also been known to pick strays up off the street, nurse them, socialized them, and find homes for them.

Rescue work is not easy. It takes time, dedication, and money. Right now, we are a not for profit rescue, which means we make no profit whatsoever on the animals we adopt out, but we do not have a (501(c)(3)) tax deductable status. At the current time, we do not take in and adopt out enough animals to justify this. We do not have a set adoption fee, each animal's fee will probably be different. Each foster home spends a different amount on each animal. Each foster home pays for the animal's spay or neuter, food, and basic vet care, as well as anything else needed. We are blessed, however, to have a couple of vets that work with us. If you have any questions, please email us.

When There's a Will There's a Way was named for "Waylon" and "Willy", two Pit Bull mixes that were my first "long time" fosters. When I worked at a traditional shelter, they came in around the same time, but from different areas. They both had demodectic mange, a non-contagious, immune-compromised disease. I had agreed to foster them until they were better and then place them. Waylon's condition was very bad. He had generalized demodex, which covers the entire body. The then director of the shelter did not like Pitbulls and she wanted to put them to sleep mainly because they were pitbulls. I was a bit late in taking Waylon home, so she told me he was going to be euthanized. I wouldn't let that happen, so I held on to him. Luckily that woman is no longer director of that shelter. Long story short, Waylon and Willy were both adopted, but returned to me through no fault of their own. They were meant to be my dogs. They are ambassidors of the breed, and are loving and playful with everyone they meet, be human or canine.
